CPPA is a physician-led training organization preparing healthcare professionals for the future of trauma-informed, psychedelic-integrated care. We blend evidence-based science, ancient wisdom traditions, and the lived clinical experience of practitioners who have walked this path themselves.
Founded by Dr. Lida Fatemi, DO, MPH — hospice and palliative care physician, best-selling author, and advisor to the State of New Mexico on the Medical Psilocybin Act — CPPA offers two parallel programs.
Our work is rooted in the conviction that the quality of care a clinician provides is directly connected to the depth of their own healing. Before guiding others, we ask each participant to do their own inner work — building the regulated nervous system, emotional capacity, and ethical grounding required to safely hold space for transformative experiences.
CPPA is currently in the process of applying for state-recognized facilitator training certification, aligning our programs with emerging regulatory standards in New Mexico and beyond.

Meet the Founder
Dr. Lida Fatemi, DO, MPH
A little about me.
Dr. Lida Fatemi is a hospice and palliative care physician, best-selling author of The Conscious Physician Method, psychedelic educator, and legislative advisor to the State of New Mexico for the Medical Psilocybin Act. She is the founder of the Conscious Physicians Psychedelics Academy.
Dr. Lida Fatemi, DO, MPH is a hospice and palliative care physician, best-selling author of The Conscious Physicians Method: Conscious Life Practices & Psychedelics, psychedelic educator, and legislative advisor to the State of New Mexico for the Medical Psilocybin Act.
She is the founder of The Conscious Physicians Method, a pioneering approach to healing burnout and trauma through conscious life practices and psychedelic integration. An award-winning clinician and national speaker, Dr. Fatemi transforms trauma into wisdom and helps physician mothers and healthcare leaders return to joy, purpose, and embodied leadership.
She holds a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from Emory University. She serves as an Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and as a legislative advisor to the State of New Mexico in developing educational and certification pathways for psychedelic facilitators.
She comes from a lineage of healers, physicians, and entrepreneurs from Iran, with Indigenous Zoroastrian roots from ancient Persia. This ancestral wisdom of light and balance deeply informs her work.
